Cheesy Bacon-Stuffed Burgers Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. (450 g) extra-lean ground beef
  • 14 Premium Plus Crackers, finely crushed (about 1/2 cup)
  • 1/4 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup shredded double-cheddar cheese
  • 1/3 cup real bacon pieces, divided
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 1/4 cup Miracle Whip Original Spread
  • 4 process cheese slices
  • 2 slices red onion, separated into rings

Instructions

  • Heat  barbecue to medium-high heat.
  • Mix  first 4 ingredients; shape into 8 thin patties. Combine shredded cheese and 2 Tbsp. bacon; spoon onto centres of 4 patties. Cover with remaining patties; pinch edges together to seal.
  • Grill  7 to 9 min. on each side or until done (160ºF).
  • Spread  bottom halves of buns with Miracle Whip. Fill buns with burgers, cheese slice, remaining bacon and onions.
